Exie Atkins King

Exie Atkins King 88, of Crosby, Texas went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2014.  Exie was born on October 8, 1925 in Georgiana, Alabama to Doc and Lela (Marlow) Atkins.  Exie worked as a meat wrapper at a local meat market and was a member of Community Baptist Church.  In her free time Exie enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening and she especially loved family get togethers.  Exie was a very sweet lady who had a good sense of humor and she was always willing to help anyone in need.   Exie will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents; and son, Don Blair.  Exie is survived by her daughter, Caroline Eason of Cold Spring, TX; daughter, Elaine Rogers of Point Blank, TX; daughter, Susan Davis of Crosby, TX; daughter, Janice Russell of Gatesville, TX; daughter, Donna Sillars of Vancouver, WA; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.  A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 1pm-2pm at Sterling-White Funeral Home with funeral services following at 2pm.  Burial will follow at Sterling-White Cemetery.  Services have been entrusted to Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd.
