Arturo R Medrano

Arturo Rivera Medrano Sr., 94, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 4, 2017.  He was born on October 30, 1922, in Soliseño, Tamaulipas, Mexico to his parents:  Tomas Medrano and Santos Rivera Medrano.  Arturo was a strong willed man and hard worker; always providing for his family.  He was an active member of the Sacred Heart and a parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Arturo enjoyed gardening and had a passion for helping his fellow man.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Simona Medrano, his parents, and daughter, Guadalupe Medrano.

Arturo is survived by his children, Olivo Medrano and wife Guillermina, Humberto Medrano and wife Natividad, Nora Morales and husband Horacio, Dora Medrano, Arturo Medrano and wife Elva, Angel Medrano and wife Sylvia, Jose Luis Medrano, and Lydia Medrano.  Twenty-nine grandchildren, Forty-seven great-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m.  A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1124 Beech St, Baytown, Texas 77520.  Interment will follow in Sterling-White Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Sterling-White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd, Highlands, Texas.  To share memories and offer condolences please visit www.sterlingwhite.com.
