David DeWayne HolderApril 13, 1967 ~ June 9, 2017 (age 50)
David DeWayne Holder, 50, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017. He was born on April 13, 1967 to James Edward Holder and Jeannine Harris Griffith. At the young age of 7, he was baptized at First Baptist Church of Baytown and was currently a member of First Baptist Church of Huffman. He went on to college, earned a certificate and became an Automotive Technician. David enjoyed music and was the lead vocalist for the bands: Fractured By Fate and Saints of Ashcroft. He had a very big heart, always social, never meeting a stranger and larger than life. When someone needed automotive help, David was there to lend a hand. He had a passion for working on vehicles, riding motorcycles, and cooking. David will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, J.D. Harris and James H. Holder; grandmothers, Margarite Harris and Lillie M. Holder; and brother Randy W. Mathews.
David is survived by his wife, Amanda R. Holder; mother, Jeannine M. Griffith and husband Jack; father, James E. Holder and wife Betty; brothers, Jimmy Lee Holder and James E. Holder Jr.; sister, Rachel Woodrome; sons, Tanner L. Holder, Sean R. Stringer, Scott A. Heavin, and Jacob A. Heavin; daughters, Breanna M. Holder and Samantha N. Heavin; sister, Samantha Sessions; brother, Zefrey Love; and a host of extended family and friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at Sterling-White Funeral Home, on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., followed by services at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Sterling-White Cemetery.
