David Lee LeGros

David Lee LeGros, 67, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017. He was born on August 18, 1950 in Jennings, Louisiana to Placide Charles LeGros and Gertrude Stroderd LeGros.  David married the love of his life Caryn, on October 31, 1970 and spent 46 years together. He served his country as a member of the United States Air Force and later was honorably discharged He worked many years as a Terminal Manager for Linde (formerly known as Airco Industrial Gases) and Groendyke Transportation. Afterwards David became a business owner, opening up Big Dave’s Cajun Shack. He was very social, larger than life and had a big heart that would help anyone in need. David enjoyed watching NASCAR, College Football pulling for LSU Tigers, his beloved New Orleans Saints, and especially loved watching the Little League World Series. Family was very important to him, he loved his parents, wife, brothers, sons, and grandchildren very much. David will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeremy Lee LeGros; and daughter-in-law, Saundra LeGros.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Caryn R. LeGros; sons, Chad Placide LeGros and wife Arlissa, and Justin Lee LeGros and wife Caryn A. LeGros; brothers, Danny LeGros, Mark LeGros, and Timmy LeGros; granddaughters, Andrea LeGros, Shelbie Millsaps, and Cayla LeeAnn LeGros; nephews, Dwayne LeGros, Zak LeGros and Tim LeGros Jr.; nieces, Donna Cassidy, Skylynn LeGros; brother-in-law, Michael Tyler; canine companion, Baby doll; Justin Rougelot (Juddy) and Mike Featherston; and a host of extended family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Sterling White Funeral Home. Interment will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sterling-White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas 77562.
