Donald Eugene Belt

Donald “Donnie” Eugene Belt age 62 , went to be with the Lord on Friday February 2, 2018. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 25, 1955 to Tilda Mae Truett Belt and Oris Belt. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing and hunting, gardening and being on his tractor, traveling and playing horseshoes, but most of all, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a very wonderful, cheerful, caring, generous person who would help anyone in need and give you the shirt off of his back. He had a sense of humor, could be considered strong willed at times and will be loved and missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Oris Ronnie Belt, Billy Ray Belt and Tommy George Collett. Donnie is survived by his beloved wife, Connie Lee Atchley Belt; his children, Carolyn Belt, Michael Lee Jones (and wife, Courtney) and Donald Belt Jr.; his brothers and sisters, Barbara Ann Belt, Johnny Michael Belt, James Douglas Belt, Jackie Lyn Tuttle, Carol Sue Roark, Ocie Ida Mae Burkhart, Oma Francis Kissick, Glenn Rose Hunt, Tilda Leigh Smallwood and Ralph Wayne Hunt; his grandchildren, Sierra Belt, Shelby Jones, Carsyn Jones and Michael Cole Jones. Also survived by other relatives and many friends. A visitation for family and friends will be held at Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, on Monday evening February 5, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Services will be held on Tuesday morning February 6, 2018 in Sterling White Funeral Home Chapel at11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
