Dorothy Ella Reynolds

Dorothy “Dot” Ella Reynolds, 96, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 31, 2017. She was born on April 22, 1921 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to James Arthur McClure and Elloy George McClure. She was one of nine children born to her parents. She was married to her husband, Wesley Levi Reynolds for 62 years and was a wonderful Domestic Engineer. Together they travelled all over the world and eventually they moved to Lake Houston where she enjoyed watching the sunset. They also loved fishing, boating, skiing and the Indian Shores Family. Dot was a member of the Indian Shores Garden Club and the Indian Shores Civic Club. She was known to be a great seamstress that could sew anything. Dot was simply the life of the party and was the “Hostess with The Most”. She will be remembered for her sweet personality and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Wesley Levi Reynolds; her parents, James and Elloy McClure; and all other siblings.

Dot is survived by her nieces, Margaret Martin of Weatherford, TX; and Lynda Smith Schick of Oklahoma City, OK; and nephews, Dr. Bill Smith of Sedona, AZ; and Art Smith of McAlester, OK; and other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Sterling White Funeral Home from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 pm. Interment with no services will be held in Duncan City Cemetery in Duncan Oklahoma.
