Edward Leger, 87, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 2, 2017. He was born on November 13, 1929 in Centerville, Louisiana to Homer Leger and Aline Guillory Leger. He served his country and was honorably discharged from the Army in 1948. Edward married Hazel Guillory on October 9, 1951. They were together for over 66 years and raised a beautiful family. He worked as a diesel mechanic at Armco Steel for 33 years and Harris County Precinct 2 for 10 years. He was a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus and also a member of the American Legion. He was calm, gentle, honorable and was simply the best husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all playing poker. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Edward is preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Aline Leger; six brothers, and two sisters.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Hazel Leger; sons, Eddie Leger and wife Susan, Darrell Leger and wife Lilly, and Mark Leger and wife Lorie; grandson, Jason Leger and wife Amanda; granddaughters, Leah Davis and husband Joey, Tara McMullen and husband Gary, Kristy Leger, Nicki Leger and fiancé Ashley Patten, Shelby Cox and husband Aaron, and; great grandchildren, Kamryn Disney, Kelsey Disney, Casen McMullen, Jaxen McMullen, Gaven Beau McMullen, Hayden Caudill, Phalicity Davis, Brooklin Leger and Bree Leger; sister, Laurie Brazil; and a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a 7:00 pm rosary at Sterling-White Funeral Home. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday morning, September 7, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 915 Runneburg, Crosby, TX. Interment to follow in Sterling-White Cemetery.
