Eugene Anthony Fischesser

Eugene (Gene) Anthony Fischesser age 87 was a beloved Father, Grandfather and Friend.  On Monday, May 29, 2017 he joined his bride Nenette Fischesser who preceded him in death in 1972.  He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 8, 1929 to Garnet Rose Fischesser and William Fischesser. He was a Korean War Veteran.  Gene enjoyed playing baseball and was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan.  He also enjoyed playing golf and pitching horseshoes. Gene had a creative talent for building and repairing things, for example, he built loft beds with desks underneath for his children even before they were common to society. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church for many years and Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Crosby more recently, an active member of VFW post# 9761, American Legion 490 South Houston and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. He was very devoted to his faith and enjoyed singing in the church choir,  Gene was a devoted widowed father to his 6 children, a very lovable, personable, outgoing, responsible and disciplined person who will be loved and missed by all who knew him.  He is also preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bill Fischesser. Gene is survived by his children, Steven Fischesser, Larry Fischesser, David Fischesser (and wife, Paula), Andre Fischesser (and wife, Patricia) Alan Fischesser (and wife, Rachel) and Genette Graves (and husband, Danny). Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held  at Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, on Sunday evening June 4, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Crosby on Monday morning June 5, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Baytown.
