Joseph Anthony Wotipka, 69, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on March 9, 2024. He was born on August 25, 1954, in Baytown, Texas.
Papa Joe was a fun uncle, a goofy grandpa, and a beloved father. His grandchildren knew him for his lively jokes, his never-ending stash of candy, and his weekly trips to the dollar store. They enjoyed spending time learning about his days in the 70s and probing his infinite knowledge of The Beatles.
He was a vibrant and bright soul whose laughter and excitement would light up any room. He spent his days rooting for his favorite sport teams, surfing, and fishing. When he wasn’t partaking in these activities, he could either be found playing with one of his many beloved dogs, or strumming a tune on his favorite guitar. He will be missed dearly and we will always remember his warm heart, his lopsided smile, and gentle soul.
Joe was preceded in death by wife Mary Annette Wotipka, his parents, Albert and Elizabeth Wotipka, and his brother, Donald Wotipka.
He is survived by his favorite daughter, Misty Garcia, and her husband, Wesley Garcia, his beloved grandchildren, Janae, Ricky, Amaya, and Brianna, as well as his siblings; sister, Joan Myzell, brother, Paul Wotipka and wife, Sharon Wotipka, sister, Mary Warren and husband, Richard Warren, sister Barbara Bierstedt and husband, Larry Bierstedt, sister, Carol Files, brother, David Wotipka and wife, Amy Wotipka.
