Just found out about your loss from a mutual friend.
I worked with Gene at B & M Towing Co. for 3 years from 1965 < 1968, worked hard and traveled a lot together. He could talk about any subject that came up, cheerful, honest, private and fun to be around. Once asked him how he new so much about everything, his response was I read the paper every day so I know what's going on.
I know that I am a better person for having known Gene.

I didn't personally know you, Mr Sites, but I do know your daughter, Suzanne. She is one of the kindest, most caring people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. She's known for her emotional strength and courage by many. It isn't hard to to see where she got these attributes from after hearing loving stories of your life. Your legacy will live on through her and the rest of your beautiful family. I'm blessed to have Suzanne in my life and I can thank you and her mother for that. Thank you.

It truly saddens me to hear of Gene"s passing. He really was a man"s man, a very loyal and giving person. As I reflect on my years knowing Gene, I laugh a lot. There is comfort in knowing he really enjoyed his life. I have precious memories of hanging out in his garage, some fishing, and many hunting exploits. Gene took me under his wing and taught me how to bird hunt and introduced me to something I dearly love to do. Thanks Gene, you will be missed.
