Patsy Jean Dunn

Patsy Dunn left this earthly home on Thursday Jan 25th to spend eternity with our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ. Mrs. Dunn was born on Sept 25th, 1935 and passed Jan. 25th 2018. She was 82 years old.

Mrs. Dunn lived a full life, marrying Billy Ellison Sr, at an early age and together, they had four children, and lived in Odessa, Tx. They moved to Monahans, Tx. In early 1963. They were very involved with their family, and spent time boating, camping, fishing and later motorcycle riding.

Mrs. Dunn was a Girl Scout Leader for her daughter, Denece. She loved to garden and can the fruits of her labor. She collected historical postage stamps, dolls and coins.

She loved to crochet, do needlepoint and knit. What ever she did, she did it well.

Mrs. Dunn was the family historian and spent many hours and days researching the Ellison, Watts, Martins, Crouches and Mooney families.

She managed convenience stores in Monahans, for many years.

Mrs. Dunn loved to read and her favorite books were Louis Lamar and the The King James Bible.

In her retirement years, she was an active member of the Immanuel Baptist Church and was the Church Treasurer. She was in charge of the Church Prayer chain up until just 2 weeks ago.

Her Mother Evelyn Crouch, her Father R.Q. Martin and grandchild, Kris Ellison preceeded her in death.

She leaves behind:

She has 8 Grand Children 14 Great Grand Children and 1 Great Great Grand Child.

She also leaves her brother James and Bonnie Damron, and her sister Gloria Jean and Billy Joe Dunn. She has many nieces and nephews along with friends and extended family.

Rest in Peace Patsy Dunn.

  A Celebration of Patsy’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 7pm at Sterling-White.  Services have been entrusted to Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, Texas 77562.  To send the family condolences please visit www.sterlingwhite.com
