I loved this wonderful man! He would sit in his chair by his wifes cemetary plot every day all day long! Every time I would visit my husbands grave he would be there and we would chat! Ohhh my I didn't see him past year and continued to look next to his wifes grave to see if he died. Am so very sorry I didnt know he died. I Am so sad! He would call me every holiday to see how I was. Dear sweet Raymond...R.I.P.

I am so sorry to hear that Mr. Raymond passed away. He was a good friend who I just happened to meet while visiting my friend's grave which was close to Mr. Raymond's wife's grave and he was there tending his wife's grave as he often did. We became good friends and I had the pleasure of "adopting" him at Christmas for a few years when we adopted Seniors and/or Veterans. He was such a great and admirable man. I learned a lot about his war history from his stories and the books with articles and pictures that he made. He will truly be missed. I'm so glad you are reunited with your wife in Heaven. You will be surely be missed here. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends. Thank you Mr. Raymond for being such a great friend.

I'm sorry I missed the funeral as I just saw the announcement in the paper last nite. Raymond was always upbeat, an true gentleman & greeted me with a kiss on the cheek. I can say that I was honored to have known him & my life is truly better because of knowing him. He was one of the biggest blessings in life & I will miss you my friend. When Raymond found out that was a history nut like him & that all the men in my family served in the Navy from both my grandfathers to my dad to my son. H e shared with me his time & picture book of his time in the Navy. I salute you now my friend & I will see you when I get to heaven.

I only got to know Mr. Holub in the last four years since my husband passed. He and I crossed paths as regulars at the cemetary. I will miss him telling me "it's getting dark now, we are gonna have to leave". I am so happy that he is reunited with our Heavenly Father and his MaryAnn in a place where it never gets dark. RIP Sir. You will be missed.
