Robert Edwin Beauxis, second born of 8 to the late John Oliver Beauxis, Jr and Ramona Margaret Robin Beauxis, passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 69 in Baytown, Texas. He was born on July 7, 1954, in Opelousas, Louisiana. Robert served in the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of SP5. He also served as a Royal Ranger Commander at outpost 227.
He was a man who enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping on the beach, and gardening. Robert had a fondness for Louisiana boudin, sausage, gumbo, and in his senior years, his whiskey.
Robert is survived by his sisters: Mary Helena Beauxis, Elise Marie Leger, and Martha Elizabeth Beauxis; His stepchildren: Lauren Stephanie, Kyle Lloyd, Lelanya Rene’. His children; Juanita Catherine, Rachael Rene’ , David Oliver, Ronald Stephen Carriere, Rebekah Helena, Benjamin John Michael, Ramona Gale Elizabeth, their families, and Rhonda Rene’, mother of the children. Robert is also survived by (as Uncle Bob) his nephew Dustin Leger and niece Stephanie Beauxis.
Also his beloved grandchildren; Noah William, Adina Elle, Calub Paul, Evangeline Abigale, Evalyn Rene’ Ethel, Miya Jane, Michael Laine, Chandler Lane, Kori Rhea, along with others, and those already in heaven.
Robert was preceded in death by both parents and his 4 brothers: John Oliver Beauxis III, David Clyde Beauxis, Michael James Beauxis, Ronald Stephen Beauxis.
A service will be held at Sterling - White Funeral Home in Highlands, Texas, to honor Robert’s life and military service.
