July 29, 1935 ~ March 16, 2024 (age 88) 88 Years Old

Tribute

Barbara Dale (Provine) Bradberry passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on March 16th, 2024, she was 88 years old. Born on July 29th,1935. Born in Washington D.C. to Dorthy and Hugh Provine. Moving to Memphis Tennessee at an early age, and yes, a big Elvis Presley fan. Arriving in Houston in 1968 where she spent the majority of the next 56 years and some back in Memphis where she married her husband, James Bradberry. Barbara lived a life rich in joy, love, compassion and service to others.

Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and care giver. She cherished spending time with her family attending church, finding joy in preparing her home for each holiday occasion and creating lasting memories with her loved ones. Her warmth and nurturing nature extended far beyond her own family as she dedicated many years to caring for children in the daycare setting while always treating them like her very own. Barbara's compassionate spirit and gentle touch left an indelible mark on the lives of countless children and families.

Barbara was preceded in death by her first son (Tony) John Anthony Ard 1956 - 1996.

She is survived by a host of many family members in Memphis whom she spoke of often and loved dearly. Survived by her beloved husband in Houston James Bradberry, her sons, (Ricky) Richard Ard and wife Frances Ard, Ty McGowan, (Herbie) Hugh Howard and her daughter Tanya Harris. She is survived by her Grandchildren, Kristin, Brandon and wife Amanda, Trevin and Skyler and husband Justin. She is survived by her great grandchildren, Asher, Harley, Kamryn, Sadie Joe and Chase Riley

She is also survived of course, by her many extended church families throughout her life.

Barbara's legacy of love, kindness and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A celebration of Barbara's life will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Cathedral of Praise Assembly located at 11303 CEKing Parkway, Houston, TX 77044. Following the service, a graveside ceremony will take place at 1:00 PM at Sterling White Cemetery, 11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd, Highlands, TX 770562.

Her soul will rest in Eternal Peace and Joy with JESUS, and may her memory be a Blessing to all who knew her.
