Barbara Elaine Riley

Barbara Elaine Riley, age, 76 went to be with the lord on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. She was born in Dallas, Texas on January 17, 1943 to Edith Marye Atkins Hardison and Garland Roscoe Hardison. She enjoyed bowling, gambling and arts and crafts, but most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a very kind, caring person who was always helpful to all and will be deeply loved and missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Diana Marye Riley.  Barbara is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Edward Riley; her children, Nathan Riley and Kay Shifflet; her brothers, Walter Newell (and wife, Pat) and Lee Newell; her grandchildren, Eddie Cooley, Krystal Larkin, Cody Carrell (and wife, Jessica) and Brittany and Angelle Riley; her great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Preston Larkin, Kaydence and Kaleesi Carrell, Natalie Riley and Vincent Leonardt.  Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  A visitation for family and friends will be held at Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, on Tuesday evening, July2, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at The Little Country Church Crosby Campus on Wednesday morning July 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at South Park Cemetery 1310 N.
