Barbara Jean Guillot Shannon was born to Jules and Vivian in Houston, TX on August 25, 1936. Through a military marriage, she was able to travel the world. Jean was a loyal employee with Schlumberger and Paul Broussard and Associates. She loved Houston sports and went to many Astros games. She was a perfect homemaker and cook who truly enjoyed caring for her family. Jean had strong need to nurture. She was a natural with babies and animals. She had a steady faith in God and worshiped him with gratitude. Even in adversity, she maintained a joyful, childlike view of life. Jean met her sweetheart Norman later in life and devoted her remaining days in dedicated love. Jean leaves behind her brother Joe Sidney and his wife Etta Guillot; three daughters and two sons-in-law (Lisa Ann Greagrey, Melissa Jean and Ernest Martinez, and Priscilla Lynn and Kelly Tharp); three grandchildren (Jennifer Christine, Jules Brandon and wife Alexandria Greagrey, and Cameron Allan Tharp); one great-grandson Jackson Brandon Greagrey; and nephews and nieces (Jeffrey Glen and wife Karen Guillot, and Joel Lynn Guillot). She also inherited step-children Deshon, Carol, Teri,David and Randy, whom she loved dearly. Special thanks to the invaluable care given by Lori Franz, Renee Godeaux, and Kelly Turnbow.
