Berna Anne McCleskey

Berna Anne McCleskey went to be with the Lord on February 5, 2020 at the age of 82. She was born on May 16, 1937 in Macon, Georgia to Alfred Wesley Melton and Annie Irene Tidwell. Anne was a homemaker and loved taking care of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a great cook and made the best chocolate pies, blonde brownies and pound cakes. Anne enjoyed painting, reading, and going to church. She was very devoted in her faith she would even volunteer for First Baptist Church of Crosby and for Churches United in Caring. Anne was always upbeat, positive and friendly to everyone. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know and love her.  

She is preceded in death by her husband, Price McCleskey; father, Alfred Melton; mother, Annie Tidwell; and brother Jerry Melton.

Anne is survived by her sons, David McCleskey & wife Ann, Wes McCleskey & wife Reneè, and Joe McCleskey & wife Laura; her daughter, Lisa McCleskey; and her sister Jane Burns. She is also survived by six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.

A service for Anne will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Crosby, 615 Runneburg Rd, Crosby, Texas 77532.
