Betty J Cobb

Betty Joyce Cobb, 86, of Crosby, Texas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Betty was born on October 5, 1934 in Baytown, Texas to Robert Lidge Brasher and Lydia Jeanette Adkins Brasher. Betty graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown where she was one of their first Twirlers. She went on to marry her husband, Thomas Cobb and they had four children, Tommy, Robert, Melinda, and Paul. She enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband.  She was also a member of the “Tag Alongs” bowling team for the Shriners. Betty was the best Nana and Grandma to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known for her wonderful cooking during the holidays that left her family arguing over who was taking the leftovers home. Betty will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Thomas Cobb; parents, Robert and Lydia Brasher; siblings, Benny Brasher, Harry Brasher, Pete Brasher and wife Pauline, James Brasher, and Jean Lee and husband John; daughter-in-law, Linda Cobb; and great-grandson, Tyler Cobb.

Betty is survived by her children, Tommy Cobb and wife Sue, Robert Cobb, Melinda Bailey and husband Dale, and Paul Cobb and wife Lori; siblings, Beverly Hussey and husband James, John Brasher, and Ina Hale; brother-in-law, Jerry Cobb and wife Elaine; grandchildren, Shelly Haley, Thomas Cobb, Timothy Cobb, Cortnee Cornell, Melissa Kamin, Robert Cobb Jr., Tiffany Courson, Jessica Owen, Blake Khoury, Heath Kocurek, Jerred Kocurek, Allison Jones, and Makayla Cobb; 27 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. 

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 5pm to 8pm at Sterling-White Funeral Home.  Funeral services will begin at 10am on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Sterling White Funeral Home, with burial following in Huffman Cemetery, Huffman, Texas.
