Billie Faye Johnson

Billie Faye Taylor Johnson, 83, of Highlands, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 15, 2022 with her family by her side. Billie was born on May 23, 1938 in Kosse, Texas to William Taft Taylor and Esther Ellen Fox Taylor. She retired after 29 years from Goose Creek Consolidated ISD. She was also a longtime member of the local Highlands 42 Club, where she enjoyed spending time visiting with her friends and playing dominoes. She enjoyed her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Billie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James P. Johnson Jr.; children, Jimmy Ray Johnson Sr. and Micah Dean Johnson; parents, Taft and Esther Taylor; and sisters, Marjorie Haynie and Herberta Mask.

Billie is survived by her children, Vicki Mullins and husband Ray, and Leslie Johnson and wife Rhonda; daughter-in-law, Darlene Johnson; 11 grandchildren, Jason Mullins, Jenny Eder, Jacquelyn Brown, Jimmy Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Haley Grayson, Kadi McHugh, Sarah Isaacks, Bailey Johnson, Megan Johnson, Eric Johnson; 16 great-grandchildren Sister, Frankie Hickman of Fort Worth, Texas; sister, Peggie Jo Williams and husband Weldon of Pasadena, Texas; and a host of extended family and friends.

Serving the family as Pallbearers will be Jason Mullins, Jimmy Ray Johnson Jr., Daniel Johnson, Jason Brown, Jeremy Eder, Mac McHugh and Shawn Isaacks. Visitation will be Family and friends from 10:00am to 11:00am on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Sterling White Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am with Reverend Tim Edwards officiating.  Interment will be in Sterling White Cemetery.
