Bobby Lynn Cossey

Bobby Lynn Cossey, 65, of Crosby, Texas passed away on December 4, 2017 in Kingwood, Texas. Bobby was born on December 23, 1951 in Russellville, Arkansas to Jesse and LaEuna (LaRue) Cossey. He was raised and went to school in Dewey, Oklahoma, graduating from Dewey High School in 1970. In the same year, Bobby married his high school sweetheart, Marcy Frazier. The couple lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma until 1973 while Bobby completed his Bachelor’s Degree at Northeastern State College in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The couple had two children, Mindy Lee Ann and Scott Andrew.

Bobby began his career as a Special Education teacher in Sedan, Kansas but moved to Texas in 1975 where he worked as a Special Education teacher at Galena Park Middle School until 1981. At that time, Bobby changed careers and went to work for Phillips Petroleum Co. in Pasadena, Texas where he worked for the next 23 years. Bobby loved music and was a skilled guitar player and songwriter. He also loved to fish and enjoyed taking family and friends fishing, water skiing, or just swimming at the lake.

He is preceded in death by his mother, LaEuna Cossey.

Bobby is survived by his beloved wife, Marcia Cossey; son, Scott Cossey and wife Heather; daughter, Mindy Erickson and husband Bill; father, Jesse Cossey; grandson, Liam Greenwood; granddaughters, Danielle Greenwood and Rebecca Erickson; sister, Joyce English and husband Bobby Dean; nephew, Danny English; niece, Melissa Thornborugh; and a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Sterling-White Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 8, 2017 also at Sterling White Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sterling White Cemetery.
