Boyce Morris Jr, 73, of Old River-Winfree, Texas went to be with the Lord on March 3, 2018.  Boyce was born on February 21, 1945 in New Orleans, LA to Boyce and Carrie (Lee) Morris.  Boyce served his country in the Korean DMZ with the 123rd infantry division from 1967-1968 and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army.  Boyce worked and retired as an operator for Shell Chemical for 34 years and in his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, volunteering, metal detecting and collecting historical items from the Texas revolution and other historical events, and most of all spending time with his family and friends.  Boyce was a very humble, kind and generous man who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Boyce Sr. and Carrie Lee Morris; brother, Jimmy Joe Morris.  Boyce is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary Alice Morris of Old River-Winfree, TX; daughter, Kimberly Renee’ Vela of Hewitt, TX; daughter, Rebecca Denise Oliver of Anahuac, TX; daughter, Karen Jennette Wilson of Old River-Winfree, TX; brother, Tommy Webb Morris of Old River-Winfree, TX; sister, Diana Morris Thomas of Tylertown, MS; grandson, Trenton Vela of Austin, TX; granddaughter,  Emily Vela of Hewitt, TX; granddaughter, Jordan Wilson of Old River-Winfree, TX; grandson, Ean Wilson of Old River-Winfree, TX; granddaughter, Samantha Oliver of DeQuincey, LA; great granddaughter, Lacy Byrom of DeQuincey, LA; great granddaughter, McKynlea Byrom of DeQuincey, LA; great granddaughter, June Vela of Austin, TX; and many other relatives and friends.  A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 5-8pm at Sterling-White.  Funeral services will be held at 10am on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Sterling-White Funeral Home with interment to follow at Sterling-White Cemetery.  Services have been entrusted to Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd.
