Charles Henry Babcock

Charles Henry Babcock, 78, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019. He was born in Manistique, Michigan on April 20, 1941 to Lloyd Babcock and Gertrude Jenerou Babcock.  Charles worked for over fifty years as a forklift mechanic.  He was happiest with the sun beating down on his head and covered in grease.  Charles was outgoing and friendly.  He could talk to anyone about anything, and never met a stranger.  He was a member of Crosby Church for the last fifteen years.  He regularly spent time with friends at waffle house.  Charles will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Gertrude Babcock; step-father Richard Lyntz; step-mother Hazel Babcock; brother, Thomas L. Babcock “Bud;” and ex-wife, Germaine Dabacker Babcock.

Charles leaves behind his wife of thirty two years, Alane B. Babcock; daughters, Patricia Ann Babcock Treece and husband Bill and Elizabeth Ackerman and husband Andy; sons, Charles L. Babcock and wife Kristen and Mark A Babcock and wife Nikki; Nieces, Tammy Babcock medica and husband Daniel, Laney Chavez and husband Armando, Sherry Garcia and husband Roy and Christine McAdow; nephews, Thomas Babcock and wife Christy Lee and Ted McAdow; Grandchildren, Crystal Babcock, Alyssia Babcock, Joe Babcock, Haley Babcock, Logan Batten and wife Emily, Lucy Babcock and Liam Babcock; brother-in-law, Theodore McAdow; sister-in-law, Nancy McAdow; great nephew, Darryl; and great nieces, Addy, Brynn and Isla.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Sterling-White Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 pm on the same day, also at Sterling White Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sterling White Cemetery.
