Charley Lee Lenderman, 88, of Crosby, Texas, passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021. He was born on May 19, 1933, in Hardesty, Oklahoma to Myrtle and Alfred Valentine Lenderman. Charley retired after working many years at Chevron where he held several positions during his tenure there. He thoroughly enjoyed golfing and would labor and toil in his yard in which he would earn the title of “Yard of The Month” on several occasions. Charley had the most beautiful smile that could light up a room while never meeting a stranger. He was belovedly known as “Gramps” by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Charley was a generous and kindhearted gentleman who will be dearly missed by all.
Charley was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle and Alfred Valentine Lenderman; sister, Dema Jenkins; brother, A.V. Lenderman; and son-in-law, Kelly Schoppa.
He is survived by his son, Ron Lenderman and wife Deborah; daughter, Melinda Schoppa; grandchildren, Hayden Wright and Jim Wright, Garrett Lenderman and Jaimie Lenderman, Brailey Lenderman and Tom Howard; Hayley and Colin Harrison; Cameron Schoppa and great-grandchildren Langston Wright, Porter Wright, and Bridger Lenderman; nephews, Mike Jenkins, Larry Lenderman, and Gary Lenderman; and nieces, Sue Denson, Jeanne Hancock, and Kathy Lenderman.
A Celebration of Charley’s Life will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m at Sterling-White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas.
