Christine Baker

Christine Baker, age 99, of Houston, Texas passed away April 4, 2021.

She was born in Marlin, Texas on January 22, 1922.  Christine was married to Wesley Baker and had four children.  She had a passion for family and gardening.  She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She also enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens, she had a true green thumb. 

Christine is survived by her daughters, Betty Jean Long and her husband Earl of Point Blank, TX, Peggy Hedgcoxe of Houston, TX, and Linda Cauley and her husband Jimmy of Crosby, TX.  Granddaughters; Ann Todd, Brenda Mills, Christina Aguilar, Loretta Gonzalez, Stephanie Rivas, Brandy Plank, and Grandsons; Bryan Baker, Michael Long and Travis Cauley. Christine also had 14 great-grandchildren.

Christine is preceded in death by her husband Wesley, their son Billy, a sister, Estelle Laskowski and her son-in-law, Steve Hedgcoxe.

Visitation for Christine will be Saturday, April 10, 2021, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM with funeral service starting at 4:00 PM at Sterling-White Funeral Home. 

In lieu of flowers, Christine’s family has requested a donation be made to a charity of your choice or a potted plant.
