Cristen Micha’el Bickerstaff, 33, of Highlands, Texas passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, in Baytown, Texas. She was born on September 10, 1986, in Baytown, Texas, to Linda Gwaltney.
Cristen attended Sterling High School, where she graduated in 2005. She was a strong-willed person who enjoyed raising livestock with her children. Cristen pursued many other interests, some of which included, showing pigs, going mudding and racing. She was a loving person who was the proudest big sister to her triplet siblings.
Cristen was a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, wife, mother and friend to many who knew her. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents. Cristen leaves behind to cherish her loving memory, her mother Linda Gwaltney of Baytown, Texas; her father Steve Gwaltney of Houston, Texas; her beloved husband of 11 years, Chance Skinner of Highlands, Texas; her children Aydan Henderson, Harlie Skinner and Hadlie Skinner all of Highlands, Texas; her siblings Maison Bickerstaff of Abilene, Texas, Steven Gwaltney of Pasadena, Texas, Kylie Gwaltney of Missouri, Jordan Gwaltney of League City, Texas; her Nana and Pawpaw Merrill of Highlands, Texas and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be, Justin Chandler, Kevin Zaruba, Daniel Merrill, Troy Bernal, Fred Roach, and Jody Sullivan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chance, Steven, Maison and Aydan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Cristen’s honor to Baytown Youth Fair, P.O. box 621, Baytown, Texas, 77520, for a scholarship in her name. Please make contributions out to say: ATTN: Cristen Bickerstaff scholarship fund.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm, on Friday, August 21, 2020, in the chapel of Sterling White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd, Highlands, Texas. A funeral service and burial will immediately follow at 1 pm with Pastor Beau Rosser officiating.
