Dale “Alan” Schimming age 59 of Baytown, TX went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 28, 2021 after a short battle with cancer with his loving family by his side. Alan was born in Baytown, TX on September 18th 1961 to Dale and Pearl Schimming. He graduated from Ross S. Sterling High School in1980. He married his high school sweetheart, Sandy, in May of 1982. They enjoyed their life together going on cruises and seeing the world, attending (old) rock concerts, and watching their grand babies grow up. Alan had the honor of coaching his two oldest grandchildren alongside his son and son-in-law. Baseball has always been a passion for him from coaching to spectating, to umpiring, and even being involved in Baytown Little League for many years. Alan was a Gas Operations Supervisor with CenterPoint Energy for over 40 years. He loved all of his employees and coworkers who he considered to be his second family.
Alan was preceded by his father, Dale Schimming, sister and brother-in-law Debbie and Gary Rombs and his in-laws Randelland Claudine Elledge.
Alan is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Schimming, his children, Shawn and wife Rachel Schimming and Kristi and husband Shannon Roberts. He was Papa to his grandchildren, Gavin and Jayden Roberts and Drake and Blakely Schimming. Alan is also survived by his mother Pearl Schimming, brothers, Mark Schimming and Shawn W. Schimming and sister, Dawn Clevenger. Brother-in-laws; Ricky Elledge, Randy and Tina Elledge and Richard Repique. As well as many nieces and nephews.
Services for Alan will be held Thursday, April 1, 2021 with visitation at 12:00PM to 1:00PM with funeral service starting at 1:00PM and burial to follow at Sterling-White Funeral Home and Cemetery.
Serving as Pallbearers are: Ricky Elledge, Richard Repique, Mark Schimming, Shawn W. Schimming, Robert Urrabazo, David Sones, Jeff Scopel, Ronald Hill, and Jose Santibanez. Honorary Pallbearers: Randy Elledge, Noe Saldivar, Raymond Martinez, Curtis Hartsfield, Damien Delgado, Louis Gomez, Kevin Deleon, Edmund Alcazar, Travis Gray, and Gary Mills.
