Dane was born in Baytown, Texas on August 8th, 1978 to Kathy and Gary Norris.  He graduated from Sterling High School in 1996.  Although Dane received a degree in law enforcement and was a trained fire fighter, he chose a career as a plant operator. On June 26, 2006, Dane was blessed with a son, Ian, who was the most important part of his life. Dane was very mechanically inclined and customized numerous off-road vehicles for clients.  Dane was such a kind and caring young man who enjoyed helping others.  He was naturally inquisitive and had many hobbies.  If he wasn’t playing his guitar or inventing something new, he could be found enjoying the outdoors; Dane was a nature lover.  Dane was very patriotic and spent many hours volunteering at the USO at Ellington Field where he also enjoyed attending air shows.  Dane was a strong believer in Jesus, and His saving grace, and enjoyed sharing that faith with others. Dane found joy in volunteering at MercyGate church in Mont Belvieu, Texas.  Dane will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

The Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 3, 2020 at Sterling White Funeral Home in Highlands, Texas. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00.
