Demetrio Zamarripa, 57, of Highlands, Texas passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022 in Baytown, Texas. He was born July 11, 1964 in Brownsville, Texas to parents Angel Zamarripa Sr. and Micaela Dimas Zamarripa. Demetrio is preceded in death by his mother; and his best friend Saul “Bule” Yzquierdo.

Demetrio was a loving son, husband, father, and brother. He was a talented musician for over 35 years in which time he performed at his church as well as many Christian Tejano bands. Demetrio enjoyed many things in life including building homes, storages, etc. in his free time, watching the Dallas Cowboys with his family on a Sunday afternoon after church, watching the Houston Astros, and fishing with his sons and close friends in his spare time. He also enjoyed traveling around the world with his family and driving his “toys” (Corvette, motorcycle, boat and wheelchair); over everything else, he loved attending Sunday service with his family. He is also remembered for his love of bossing his kids around in a loving and caring way and spending time singing to his handsome grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.

Demetrio is survived by his father Angel Zamarripa Sr.; his beloved wife Martina Zamarripa; children Eduardo Zamarripa, Cynthia Garcia and husband David, Benjamin Zamarripa; grandchildren Kaleb Garcia, Johan Garcia, and Jonah Garcia; siblings Angel Zamarripa Jr. and wife Carmen, Moises Zamarripa and wife Isneida, Martha Zamarripa, Danny Zamarripa and wife Sarah, Ricardo Zamarripa and wife Rachel along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.

Visitation for Mr. Zamarripa will be held 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Iglesia Cristo Viene (400 Cedar Bayou Rd., Baytown, Texas 77520). Funeral services will take place 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2022 at Iglesia Cristo Viene with interment to follow at Sterling White Cemetery (11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas 77562).
