Dennis Neal Barker

Dennis Neal Barker age, 61 went to be with the Lord on Friday September 14, 2018. He was born in Baytown, Texas on December 14, 1956 to Nita Henrietta Guillot Barker and Claude Neal Barker. He enjoyed Astro’s Baseball, hunting and surfing in his earlier years. He was a very patriotic person who had an artistic talent, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a very honest, loyal, inspirational, God loving Christian man who was always helpful and never turned his back on anyone. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father. 

Dennis is survived by his mother; his beloved wife, Leslie Thomas Barker; his children, Mistie Broussard (and husband, Jerrod) and Dennis Barker (and wife, Michelle); his sisters, Mary Helen Wolf (and husband, Jimmy) and Barbara Burrows (and husband, George); his grandchildren, Stephen Summersill (and fiancé, Olivia Wilson) and Todd Summersill, Trey Simpson, Austin Flinn, Caden Broussard and Alyssa Barker. Also survived by a special honorary brother, Todd Hardy, many cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews and too many friends to count.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, on Tuesday evening September 18, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Services will be held on Wednesday morning in Sterling White Funeral Home at11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Sterling White Cemetery.
