Dennis Wayne Garbs, 74, of Crosby, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022. He was born on February 8, 1948 in Dayton, TX (raised in Crosby, TX) to parents Ernest Garbs and Edna Wenske Garbs who preceded him in death.
After High School Dennis went on to serve his country where he fought in the Vietnam War as a proud member of the Marine Corps, while earning many Medals along the way. In 1980 he started and built his own business, Garbs Muffler Shop in Crosby, TX. In 1994 he opened Garbs Automotive and Exhaust in Baytown, TX. He loved the outdoors, boating and was a big animal lover. He was an avid Nascar Fan with Daytona 500 being his favorite race. He loved collecting Nascar models and coins and antiquing.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia Ann Garbs along with his children, Trae and wife Heather Harvey, Karrie and husband Craig Yager, Tony and wife Crystal Garbs; grandchildren, Preslee and London Harvey, Raegan and Nicholas Yager, Grayson and Emerson Garbs.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Sacred Heart Church in Crosby, Texas. Funeral mass beginning at 10:00 a.m. followed with a graveside service at Sterling-White Cemetery in Highlands, Texas.
