Devon Danielle Dodson

Devon Danielle Dodson, 37, of Broaddus, Texas passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 21, 2021. She was born on August 13, 1983, in Houston, Texas, to Danny Dodson and Linda Locklin Dodson. Devon graduated from Deer Park High School in 2001, where she went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science from University of Houston Clear Lake.

 Devon was a stubborn person who enjoyed many things in life. Some of which included her love for fishing, and playing basketball. She was also a very competitive Roller Derby player. Although she was hot headed she was also a very loyal person.

Devon was a loving daughter, sister Aunt, Niece, and friend to many who knew her. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Bernice and Lindon Locklin and her Uncles Randy Dodson and Robbie Barker. She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her mother Linda Vordenbaum and husband Dutch of Broaddus, Texas, her father Danny Dodson and wife Melinda of La Porte, Texas, her sister Tammy Veach and husband Randy of Highlands, Texas; her grandparents E.W. and Dolores Whitten of Willis, Texas; her beloved nieces Meagan Veach of Baytown, Texas, Cassie Veach of Austin, Texas, Sarah Veach Alfieri of Austin, Texas; her Aunts Paulette Barker of Pasadena, Texas, Chris Rushing of San Augustine, Texas, Melinda Camp and husband Steve of Splendora, Texas, Debbie Dodson of Anahuac, Texas; her Uncle Woody Whitten of Round Rock, Texas, numerous cousins and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A memorial service to honor Ms. Dodson will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 2:00pm, in the chapel of Sterling ~ White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd, Highlands, Texas 77562.
