Donald Lee Sutton

Donald Lee Sutton was born February 20, 1962 in Norfolk, VA and passed away June 14, 2022 in Baytown, TX at the age of 60. Donald will best be remembered as a family man, he loved spending time with family and was above all a great dad, husband, brother and friend. He was known to call and check in with his Aunts, keep up with extended family and could be counted on to help anyone who needed it.  He loved sports and music, especially the Chicago Cubs and Pittsburg Steelers. Donald was famous for his annual Christmas cookie baking extravaganza, delivering cookies to friends and family. His wife, Candy lovingly coined it his cookie ministry. He was an active member of 1st Baptist Church of Highlands. Donald was a true example of Christian love, a devoted husband and father and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Roger Sutton. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Sutton; wife, Candy Sutton; daughters, Karina Dixon and husband, Joey and Chloe Sutton; son, Nicholas Mateo; grandchildren, Layla and Nolan; sisters, Deborah Nibbe and husband, Rick and Diana Smith and husband, Les; nieces, Rachel Nibbe, Rebecca Sims and husband, Aaron and Jordan Smith; nephews, Kyle Smith; great nephews, Eli and Grant as well as 3 uncles and 3 aunts and numerous other family and friends. A visitation will be held from 10am – 11am on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 1st Baptist Church of Highlands, a memorial service will follow at 11am.
