Donna Louise Jausz

Donna Louise May Jausz, 88, of Crosby, Texas, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021 at her home. She was born April 13, 1933 in Erie, Pennsylvania to parents Robert Norman Brower and Florence Ankiel Brower who preceded her in death along with her husband Ernest Jausz; and sister Florence Denniston.

Donna was a very independent, outgoing person with an infectious laugh who loved to have a good time. She graduated from Academy High School in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1951 where she was a top twirler and majorette for the Academy Lions.  She also performed in the Erie Centennial Parade in 1951. During her time in Erie she was a member of St. George Church. She loved to dance, and meeting Ernest in the late 70’s was right up her alley because he loved to dance too.  They also both loved to travel, and traveled all over the U.S., cruised to Alaska, the Caribbean, and Panama, and also visited Europe.  She was a long time, active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Crosby and was always involved in her community. She was active in the Community Center where she enjoyed playing cards, doing puzzles, and organizing monthly trips with the community center seniors.

Donna leaves behind to cherish her memory her children Susan Hernandez and husband Robert, Robert May and wife Valerie, Michael May and wife Lori, Donald May and wife Kim; grandchildren Andrea Lester and husband Jesse, Zachary May, Ryan Reifel and wife Erica, Alex May and wife Joanna, Austin May; great-grandchildren Lilly Green and Rowan Reifel; step-daughters Anita Makar, Jacqueline Bailey, and Debbie Doe along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

A memorial service for Donna will be held 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Sterling-White Funeral Home, Highlands, Texas. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Encompass Health – Hospice (12727 Featherwood Dr. Ste 295, Houston, Texas 77034-4907)
