Edward Lynell Lewis Jr.

Edward Lynell Lewis Jr., 75, of Baytown, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 20, 2019. He was born on March 27, 1944 in San Angelo, Texas to Edward Lynell Lewis Sr., and Elvina Sisco Lewis.

Ed was a devoted family man, he loved & adored his Wife, Children, Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren. He believed in taking care of his family no matter what the sacrifice. He loved  his boots, cowboy hat and the Great state of Texas with a passion. Ed enjoyed picking out the fabric for his wife to make her beautiful quilts on their travels to the Hill Country. It was always the beauty of the Hill Country and their adventures there that truly relaxed him from his dedication to his business. Ed was a Graduate of the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in 1979. He was in Private Practice, a man of integrity, well trusted, loved and admired by his clients as their accountant & friend. 

Edward is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Elvina Lewis Sr; granddaughter, Sydni Drew Lewis; and brother, Marvin Lewis.

Edward is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years, DeAlva Lewis; children, April Flukinger, Lyn Lewis and wife Becky, Tammy Larkin, Rick Larkin and wife Kerrie; grandchildren, Jonathan Roe,  Destini Hansen and husband Jordan, Landon Lewis, Aubrey Larkin, Blake Larkin, and Cole Larkin; great-grandchildren, Maddox Roe, Brysen Roe, Sawyer Hansen and Knox Hansen; siblings, Jean Kuykendall, Hazel Poindexter, Steve Lewis and wife Valerie, Jeff Lewis and wife Carmen, Riley Lewis and wife Rita, and Alvin Lewis and wife Randy; and uncle, Lee Sisco and wife Carol.

Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Jonathan Roe, Aubrey Larkin, Landon Lewis, Blake Larkin, Cole Larkin, and Jordan Hansen. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. James A. Hall and Jim Hildebrand.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Sterling White Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Sterling White Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sterling White Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sterling White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, TX 77562.
