Edward “Eddie” Walter Vlha Jr., 69, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019. He was born on December 21, 1949 in Baytown, Texas to Edward Walter Vlha Sr., and Agnes Sefcik Vlha.
Edward worked for RJ Gallagher and RCS during his career as a CPA. Edward was a proud graduate from University of Houston. He lived and remained active in the Houston area his entire life.
Edward was a woodworker who built boats, clocks, lamps, ducks, decoys, and knives. He loved his farm and had a passion for tending to his pecan trees. He loved to visit museums and libraries, especially if they were Western themed. He was an active member of Ducks Unlimited and the Sierra Club.
Just as he loved being in the natural world of his farm, Edward experienced great joys in attending local and state rodeos as well as traveling out west to experience the old cowboy world as it was always intended. He would attend cowboy poetry and storytelling gatherings where he could live and breathe a culture and wisdom he loved.
He was a very caring and giving gentleman, who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
