Eileen M Popham

Eileen M. Popham, 98, of Crosby, Texas, slipped away into the loving arms of Jesus with her family by her side on Sunday, March 7, 2021. She was born on August 14, 1922, in Bellevue, Ohio, to the late George Murphy and Ann Walsh Murphy. Eileen attended Bellevue High School. She proudly served her country in the United States Navy where she was a yeoman.

Eileen was a loving person who pursued many interests, some of which included traveling with her beloved husband before his passing, spending time with her family and her cats. She was a strong willed person who loved her family dearly, Eileen was also a very peaceful person who enjoyed her days sitting outside watching the birds and deer.

Eileen was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and friend to many who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 62 years Owen Popham, and her brothers Jack, Keith and Ken Murphy. Eileen leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her daughters Susan Popham of Crosby, Texas, Peggy Johnson and Tim Webster of Spring, Texas, her grand-daughter Kelly Hood and husband Wayland of Highlands, Texas, her great-grandson Bryce Stratford and wife Rachael of La Porte, Texas, her great-granddaughter Hayley Fort and husband Ronny of Baytown, Texas, her brother Don Murphy of Michigan, 5 Great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A graveside service with honors will be held for Mrs. Popham on Thursday, March 18,2021, at 10:15 am, in Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
