Furman Spencer Capps, 67, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born on February 26, 1951 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Jay Breeden and Lois Lee Welch Breeden. He worked as an Electrician over the years and would take pride in watching projects go from the ground up. Furman had a heart of gold that never met a stranger. He enjoyed camping, studying, and playing his guitar. Family was important to him and no one better mess with them. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Kandie Kay Capps; his parents, Jay and Lois Breeden; sister, Deborah Capps; and brothers, Charles A. Breeden and John Lee Breeden.
Furman is survived by his daughters, Patricia Arcement and husband Adam, Roberta Wise, and Crystal McCright-Pledger; son, Furman Capps II; step-son, Steven Burgess; sister, Patricia Courtney; brother, Jay Breeden; grandsons, Caden Arcement, Devin Arcement, Jessie Wise, J. Bentley Wise, and Steven Burgess, Jr.; granddaughters, Lorissa Allen, Jazlyn Wise, Frankie Burgess, and Hailey Burgess; numerous nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Sterling White Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm. Interment will be in Sterling White Cemetery.
