Harold was a Private first Class E3 in the United States Army who served in Vietnam and was issued an honorable discharge. He took seriously his vow of God first, country second and family third. He was a true American through and through, standing for old fashion values even when they were considered outdated. He also loved his father’s native country Norway and was very proud of his heritage.  He was an avid outdoors man, who loved to fish, and take his boat out, and ride the wind on his bike. But more than any other thing he was a musician. He may as well have come out greeting this world with a mic in his hand. His musical career spans over 60 years. During this time, he became known as “Jason Slade” and the Slade gang. He was never one to work a “9 to 5” so he was a self-taught computer programmer and locksmith. Harold was a Norwegian American with a Cajun flare full of life and love for all his friends and family. He has left this world to enter another, and though he is gone from our sight he will forever be in our hearts.
