Harvey Victor Blaskey

Harvey Victor Blaskey, 75, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 18, 2017. He was born on April 26, 1942 in Lavaca, Texas to Victor Frank Blaschke and Bessie Haba Blaschke. He was a hard worker and spent most of his life working as a Pipeline Foreman. Harvey was a very social man and enjoyed meeting new people. Growing a garden and being outdoors was his delight. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Harvey will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Elveria Lee Blaschke; brother, Carl Alton Blaskey; son, Anthony Earl Blaskey; and step-daughter, Danielle Philips.

Harvey is survived by his wife, Lorrie W. Blaskey; sons, Richard Ray Blaskey, Marlon Eugene Blaskey and wife Sarah, and Sean Michael Blaskey and Shannon Becker; daughter, Becky Lee Marcum and husband John; step-daughter, April Marie Freeman and John Brandenburg; sisters, Mary B. Matthews, and Bernice Marcella and husband Robert Angaldua; grandchildren, Daniel Anthony Blaskey, Zachery Scott Freeman, Hadyn Michael Blaskey, and Harleigh Kay Marcum; step-grandsons, James Eugene Bird, Todd Philips, and Chad Hedrick; Harvey’s beloved companion, Blue; and a host of extended family and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be John, Sean, JD, Richard, JB, and Marlon. Honorary pallbearers are Zachery and Hadyn.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Sterling-White Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 23, 2017 also at Sterling White Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sterling White Cemetery.
