Homer Douglas Herron

Homer Douglas Herron, 72, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 14, 2018. He was born on November 28, 1945 in Highlands, Texas to George Burl Herron and Annie Hoffpauir Herron. Homer had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a true Cowboy that would tend to his cattle, bailed hay, and tend to his land. Homer was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Annie Herron; and brothers, David “Bubba” Herron and Roy Herron.

Homer is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Lita Herron; daughters, Sam Comeaux and husband Chad, and Mary Ann Pflieger; grandchildren, D'D Comeaux, Shane Comeaux, Makayla Comeaux, Ethan Hart, Mary Rankin, Krishna Keller, Anna Rankin, and Russell Rankin; sisters, Shirley Brantley and Nancy Giles; sister-in-law, Judy Herron; and a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Sterling-White Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, May 18, 2018 also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Sterling White Cemetery.
