Hubert Doyle Atkinson

Hubert Doyle Atkinson, 75, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 15, 2017. He was born on April 22, 1942 in Odessa, Texas to Roscoe Lonnie Atkinson and Lulu Maxine Fox. He was a member of the Armed Forces who served in the Army and was honorably discharged. Hubert worked for Exxon as a Supervisor and retired after many years. In his spare time, he liked working on cars and was a proud owner of a Jeep Wrangler and a Pontiac Solstice. He was interested in Astronomy, History and Politics. Hubert was a funny and tenderhearted man who loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sue Atkinson; and his parents.

Hubert is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Cerritos and husband Robert, Judy Franta and husband Randy, Beverly Martinez and husband Robin, and Annette Craig and husband Johnnie; grandchildren, Christine Walker, Cody Evans, Tyler and Megan Milner, Sterling Milner, Christopher and Paula Martinez, Jessica Martinez, Mikayla Knudsen; and a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at Sterling-White Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 also at Sterling White Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sterling White Cemetery.
