Jack Bernard Rackley, 78, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at his home surrounded by family. Jack was born January 2, 1944 in Corpus Christi, Texas to parents Walter Weldon Rackley and Florence Virginia Page Rackley who preceded him in death along with his beloved wife Jeannene Rackley; brothers Don Rackley and Weldon Rackley; and grandson Joshua Rackley.
Jack was a generous, selfless man who always put others first. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. Jack was proud of the life he worked hard to build for his family. He enjoyed road trips through Texas, fishing, golf, Texas sports teams, bbq’ing and eating (especially a good hamburger). Jack was especially proud of his children and grandchildren and loved spending time with them. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jack leaves behind to cherish his memory his children Cathy Odom and husband Tom, Troy Rackley and wife Robyn, Darren Rackley and wife Tisha, David Rackley and wife Kim; grandchildren Technical Sergeant Blake Odom, Geoffrey Odom and wife Paula, Caitlin Slade and husband Kyle, Cacie Odom, Lauren Rackley and Ryan Culp, Rachel Rackley, Shelby Jeannene Rackley, Jessica Griffin and husband William, Garrett Rackley, Jordan Rackley-Plum and husband Daniel, Chelsea Campbell, Cameron Rackley, and Christopher Rackley; great-grandchildren Caleb, Liam, Daisy, Claire, Finn, Jack, and Emery; brother Reverend Roy J. Rackley along with numerous other family members and friends.
A visitation for Jack will be held 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Sterling-White Funeral Home, Highlands, Texas with funeral services to begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Sterling White Cemetery where Jack will be laid to rest next to his wife Jeannene. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Cameron Rackley, Geoffrey Odom, Chris Rackley, Kyle Slade, William Griffin, Ryan Culp, Garrett Rackley, and Daniel Plum. Honorary pallbearer will be TSgt Blake Odom.
