Jack Lovell Thomley

Jack Lovell Thomley, 78, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 12, 2017. He was born on April 27, 1939 in Tampa, Florida to Wallace Young Thomley and Lucy Eliza Rawls Thomley. Jack was a member of the armed forces and served in the Navy. He was strong-willed, loving, caring, and enjoyed spending time with his family. Some of Jack’s hobbies included fishing, hunting and racing cars. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his two infant sons; parents, Wallace and Lucy Thomley; brother, Harvey Thomley; mother-in-law, Ruby Jenkins; father-in-law, James Jenkins; and son-in-law, Billy Cherry.

Jack is survived by his wife, Ruby Jean Thomley; daughter, Jacquelyn Thomley Cherry; sons, James Thomley and wife Nicole, and Jeffrey Thomley and wife Barbara; grandsons, Michael and David Cherry; great-grandson, Michael Cherry Jr.; special friend, Linda Thomley; and a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Sterling White Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm.
