James Hayward Clare

James Hayward Clare, “Jim”, 77, of Crosby, Texas, passed away Saturday February 8, 2020. He was born on August 22, 1942 in Ironton, Ohio to Hayward James Clare and Marie Haskins Clare. Jim loved working in the Coatings Technology World and was recognized with awards in his field. He loved his family so much and enjoyed being surrounded by them. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hayward and Marie Clare; sister, Cassie Jenkins; and former wife, Doris Smith Clare.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Anne Suttlehan Clare; son, James Allen Clare and wife Kathy of Knoxville, TN; son, Mark Christopher Clare of Crosby, TX; son, Kevin James Clare of Crosby, TX; daughter, Amie Heineman and husband Michael of Friendswood, TX; grandchildren, James Matthew Clare, Benjamin Clare and wife Gabby, Krystoff Heineman and wife JoAnna, and Kaileigh Anne Heineman; brother, John Thomas Clare and wife Mari Lou; sister-in-law, Patricia Corvino and husband Vincent; and a host of extended family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff at Autumn Grove Cottage and to Marie with Visiting Angels.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:30am to 10:30am on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Sterling White Funeral Home.
