James “Jimmy” Neely Denson, 75, of Crosby, Texas, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019. He was born on May 23, 1944 in Goose Creek, Texas to Thomas James Denson and Jeanette Anna Reidland. Jimmy proudly served in the United States Air Force. He was a self-employed as an office furniture business owner. He was a wonderful storyteller that had an infectious smile. He loved family, most of all children. Jimmy enjoyed nature and the outdoors by going camping every summer. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Jeanette Anna Reidlland Denson and Thomas James Denson; and niece, Laura Rook.
He is survived by his wife of twenty years, Martha Gloria Denson; son, Steven James Denson; son, Brian Edward Denson; daughter, Karen Renee Denson Blais and husband Darren; stepson, Mario Gerardo Centeno and wife Yessica; stepdaughter, Wendy Carolina Centeno and husband Keith; stepdaughter, Eldis Suray De Ulloa and husband Luis; stepson, Sergio Ismael Rodriguez and wife Jessica; brother, Dr. Ray Denson and wife Melissa; sister, Dee Ann Rook and husband Rick; many grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at Sterling-White Funeral Home on Thursday, December 19, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 20, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Crosby, 615 Runneburg Rd, Crosby, Texas 77532. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery 13702 Sralla Rd, Crosby, Texas. Arrangements entrusted to Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, Texas, 77562.
