James Matthew Edwards

Our sweet Matt, James Matthew Edwards, 12, gained his angel wings and went to be with Jesus on Saturday, September 11, 2021. He was placed on this earth on January 16, 2009 in College Station, Texas to his parents, James Beale Edwards II and Jamie Rae Busby Edwards. Over time he had a variety of names from Matt Man, Matty Cakes, Matty Moo, Boo, and Booger. Matt loved light up toys and anything that lit up, and also feeling the vibrations from music. He was incredibly loved by so many family members as well as so many friends and he will be deeply missed.

Matt was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Edwards; and great-grandfathers, Thomas Charles “Chuck” Busby and Mason “Buddy” Winfield.

He is survived by his parents, James and Jamie Edwards; sister, Raynee Edwards; grandparents, Bill and Rhonda Busby, Mike and Danna Hobson, and Cynthia Edwards; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Monday, September 20, 2021 at Sterling White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas, with services to immediately follow. Interment will be held in Sterling White Cemetery.
