Jimmie Polite

Jimmie Polite Sr. 98, of Channelview, Texas went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2018.  Jimmie was born on September 15, 1919 in Port Arthur, Texas to Domenique and Anna Polite.  Jimmie served his country during WWII and was awarded many medals including the Bronze Star for his service.  Jimmie worked as a millwright for Armco Steel for many years and in his free time he enjoyed woodworking, fixing things, speaking to his family in Italian and most of all spending time with his family and friends.  Jimmie was a very strong man who loved his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Lauretta Polite and son, Jim Polite.  Jimmie is survived by his granddaughter, Kathy Zigmont and husband Victor of Channelview; great grandson, Jonathan Zigmont of Channelview; great granddaughter, Katie Zigmont of Channelview and daughter-in-law, Jackie Polite of Houston.  A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018 from 12pm-4pm at Sterling-White Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018 4pm at Sterling-White Funeral Home with burial following at Sterling-White Cemetery.
