Joann Griggs

Joann Griggs 88, died peacefully on January 27, 2023 surrounded by family.  Joann was born July 9, 1934 in Livingston, Texas to Joe and Bertie Herring. 

For Joann, family was everything; in her spare time, you could find her out working in the yard, reading, cooking and traveling. 

Joann is preceded in death by her loving husband; Robert Griggs.

Joann is survived by; Daughters, Teresa/Teri and husband Tommy Key, Cheryl and husband Ronnie Doss, and Lisa and husband Corky Mahaffey; Grandchildren; Leslie Key, Brittany Flores, Jarrod Doss, Chris Mahaffey, and Stefanie Couch; Great Grandchildren; Aaron, Amber, Landon, Emma, Sage, Olivia, Tinsley, Cason, and Addison.

The family would like to express deep gratitude to Joann’s caretakers, Annette White and Letty Hernandez; who treated Joann with such care and compassion.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 2, 2023 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Sterling White Funeral Home.   Funeral services will be held, Friday February 3, 2023 at Sterling White Funeral Home at 10:00am. The family will reconvene at Turner Cemetery in Livingston, Texas at 2:00pm for interment for those traveling.
