Johan “John” Diederick Brinkman Jr., 72, of Humble, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 27, 2021. He was born on July 12, 1949, in Bandung, Indonesia to his parents, Johan Brinkman Sr and Mien Matzen Brinkman. John worked as a truckdriver or dispatcher for Maritime Services for over 40 years. Johan served his country in the United States Army.  He was drafted and served two terms in Vietnam. John had a love for hot rods, race cars, and flying remote control planes and helicopters. He enjoyed being out on the water while boating and fishing. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up and being with his beloved Dachshunds. John will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Johan and Mien Brinkman Sr; and sister, Irene Bishop and husband Robert.

John is survived by his daughter, Julie Jackson and husband Lance of Crosby, Texas; son, Eric Brinkman of Humble, Texas; grandchildren, Taylor Jackson, Cash Jackson, and Emeric Brinkman; sister, Francisca Brinkman; niece, Vivian Sobotik and her husband Kurt; nephew, Robert Bishop and his wife Dawn and a host of extended family and friends.

Friends are invited to visit and have lunch with the family on Sunday, September 26, 2021, from 12:30p.m. – 2:00p.m. A Celebration of John’s life will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Indian Shores Community Center on the Lake, Appaloosa, Trail, Crosby, Texas 77532.
