John Stuart Dotson Sr.

John Stuart Dotson, Sr., 53, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2019. He was born on December 7, 1965 in Garden City, Michigan to Gordon G. Dotson and Betty Dye Dotson. He worked as a tire technician at Bell Tire in Michigan and Ohio for numerous years.  He last worked for the City of Houston in Parks and Recreation.  In his spare time, John enjoyed working on cars.  He was adventurous, and always stayed busy working on something.  He loved the Cowboys, Michigan Wolverines, and Dale Earnhardt, Sr.  John was driving a tractor, while working, and was struck by a semi-truck.  He had been hospitalized for the past sixteen months, since the accident.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gordon G. and Betty Dotson.

John is survived by his wife of nineteen years, Christy L. Dotson; son, John Stuart Dotson, Jr.; daughter, Amanda L. Sorrell; daughter, Samantha J. Egbert and husband Eric; son, Keith A. Fleeman; brother, Russell Dotson and wife Connie; brother, Gordon Fox and wife Pam; sister, Cynthia Dotson and grandchildren, Harley, Zachariah, Alexus, Mercedes, Emmett, Sierra, Maddox, Serenity and Stephen.

A visitation for friends and family will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Sterling White Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00am.
